Nesma Zazou is an Egyptian film writer-director with a ten-year of experience in the media and film industry. She holds her Master’s degree in Film Directing at Met Film School London. She wrote and directed 6 short films and 8 documentaries.
Her short film “Sayeda” won the best film award at the national Egyptian film festival 2018. It was screened at Cannes short film corner and selected in BBC Film Festival along with other local and international festivals.
She was a speaker at the BBC world cultural frontline panel 2018 and TedX women 2015. She teaches documentary storytelling at MSA university in Cairo. She’s a member of the UK initiative, “Inspire Egypt”.
Nesma directed and produced more than a hundred news reports, features, documentaries, music videos, and interviews. She runs workshops in film directing, acting and directing actors.
